The ‘This Desert’ EP by The Hundred In The Hands is out this week – sounding great so far:

I’m totally excited! I discovered Bear In Heaven about 3 months ago. I was trying to figure out what’s so great about Slaraffenland for the 10th time (still haven’t figured that out) and ended up on their label Home Tapes’s myspace page. Home Tapes led me to the Bear In Heaven myspace page and the rest is history. I instantly ordered their CD and after a week of listening to it non-stop I decided I had to get concert tickets. I’m still just as excited as I was then. Tonight I am going to see them at Loppen…

Everybody’s been talking about Bear In Heaven for a while and lately everybody’s probably forgotten about them. But to me it seems to be one of those bands that stick and I frequently wake up with the song ‘You Do You’ in my head. I can’t quite say what it is that makes this song so great but after listening to the album repeatedly for months I still don’t seem to get tired of this song. Once it hits the chorus my mind starts making new melodies to go along with the existing; like a choir in my mind to emphasize how grand the chorus is.

I’m thinking this must mean that I’m on to something – or at least Bear In Heaven are on to something. Not only have they written a song that appeals to me as it is but it also somehow encourages me to add something new. Perhaps this has happened to me before with other songs but this is the first time I really notice… I hope it has the same impact on you.

So much good comes from being bored. I’m very proud of this masterpiece which combines some of the most talented people I’ve seen and heard. Honey + Britney and Nichole337.
